Mini "Lite" Computer

byrodneyk Jun 26, 2004
15 Helpfuls 16 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Multifunctional uses (with the correct drivers), smaller than a laptop, good...
Cons Short battery life when using the camera, bigger & heavier than most PDAs.
Recommended it? Yes

About a month ago I purchased a refurbished PEG-NZ90/U. I chose this model over others because, 1) I already have memory sticks, so sticking with a Sony PDA seemed logical, 2) It has a 2 megapixel camera w/ flash, 3) has wireless capability (with CF card), 4) also has GPS capability. Upon receiving... Read full review »

Best PDA (but none are perfect)

Pros Great screen, soft Grafitti area, ergonomics, rugged metal case.
Cons price (too high!), poor battery life, touchscreen quality problems, thumb keyboard,...
Recommended it? No

I have been using PDAs back from the Apple Newtons (120, 130, 2000). I have had a Palm IIIx, a Handspring Visor and now this Sony.

To set the frame of reference, I was using Grafitti back in the Newton 120 days. The Newton 2000 had handwriting recognition software that still hasn't been... Read full review »

Cons price

Just received my new NZ90 two days ago and I am amazed at how well it works. Right out of the box, after 4 hour battery charge, this thing was ready to work.
I installed software which was quite easy and instantly it was able to talk with my computer. I have a Dell laptop running XP.

What a PDA

byrookshark Sep 6, 2004
10 Helpfuls 11 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros Camera, big keyboard
Cons Battery life, camera start up, charger stand
Recommended it? Yes

I bought my nz90 online...let me start by saying that no way is this thing worth the retail value. At the price I paid however, it was an easier pill to swallow. I purchased it for almost $400, and it came with everything, including an extra battery. If you buy this PDA, and plan on using it, you... Read full review »

I've used the NZ90 for about one year and thought it's about time I give this review.

OS is Palm 5.0: Very good, stable (only had a fatal crash once). But because I hotsync every day, I was able to fully recover all data - that's the key. Back it up just in case. There are lots and lots of... Read full review »

A toy to rival all others (for the next month or two at least)

byhelpimaddicted Mar 25, 2003

Pros Fully loaded with user-friendly features (camera, mp3 player, swivel-screen, jog-dial,...
Cons Price, slight size disadvantage
Recommended it? Yes

This is my fourth PDA and my second color Sony CLIE. I love my etoys, but even I had to do some soul-searching to justify a handheld that exceeds the price of many starter desktop PCs. But I read up on it and 'lusted' after it ever since I saw it come on the market. The way I put it to my boyfriend... Read full review »

Pros Camera, bluetooth, infra red, memory slot
Cons Battery life, touch screen.
Recommended it? Yes

Well after using this fine product for a long time, I am no longer completely happy with this product. I think that the problems I have suffered are very indicative of why Sony stepped away from the PDA business.

This PDA has everything that you might want, a camera, lots of memory with... Read full review »

Pros It has a lot of outstanding features.
Cons Bulky? Count this in. Isn't good for traveling.

Ever since the idea of having a computer in one's hand started out, people began to patronize the involvement of such products in the society. The factor of having a hassle free life just by organizing meetings, creating a list of contacts, writing memos came just a click away. It was then when... Read full review »

If you want a PDA that has it all, but lacks memory!

bydschultz May 5, 2003
4 Helpfuls 5 Helpfuls Was this review helpful?
Pros It's got it all!
Cons Little or no memory!
Recommended it? No

After working with this somewhat clunky; it has it all device you will ask yourself one question? Why did they build such a do it all device and give it so little internal memory! After purchasing the wireless LAN card and installing the web browser that takes up 2.3 Megs or more of internal Ram,... Read full review »
